Childhood obesity has grown by nearly 400 percent over the course of the last 3 and one half decades, after quite possibly centuries of a low and stable rate of 4 percent.  We would be hard pressed to find an American community that has not been touched by this problem, as depending upon who you ask and when you ask them, anywhere from 25-35 percent of American children are currently obese, or at risk of becoming obese.   Sadly enough, childhood obesity is not confined to those of us within the United States, as many European, Middle Eastern and Asian nations have also been experiencing trends similar to those we are encountering within the United States.

Once again, welcome to slimthekids.com as it is a pleasure to have you!  If you, a friend or loved one is the statistical one out of every three American children suffering from this horrible affliction, you have come to the right place, as those of us at slimthekids.com never pull punches, sugar coat answers and have an understanding of the problem that goes far beyond the vague and usual “eat right and get exercise” solutions that are a dime a dozen and not worth what you paid.

Of course, eating correctly and getting exercise would surely assist with solving this horrible affliction, but that is easier said than done as there are a great many elements in the civilized world we have created for ourselves that simply prevent such events from occurring.   In many ways, our problem of overweight children is a cyclical and somewhat inevitable product of our hectic yet convenience-based lifestyle.

As you browse the website, you will find that we have not only provided you with critical timelines, tons of data, and dozens of specific examples of the social behaviors and circumstances that define the exact causes of the childhood obesity problem you or a loved one may be experiencing, but that we have provided you with simple, cost effective and realistic methods for accurately and effectively combating the problem.  The best part of it all is that it is all free.
